Founded in the French city of Brest in 1966, SDMO joined the international Kohler group in 2005, with its Power Systems activity making the group the world’s third-largest generator manufacturer.
In 2016, the SDMO brand became KOHLER-SDMO to reflect the fact that it was part of the Kohler group, and to create a direct link with the launch of its new KD SERIES product range which integrated 800 to 4500 kVA motors from the KOHLER brand.
